I am sad this Memorial Day

I am sad for the U.S. Citizens who hate this country

I am sad for the people who burn our flag

I am sad for the kids who think it is cool to step on our flag

I am sad for everyone who thinks we live in a police state

I am sad for people who commit stolen valor

I am sad for folks who feel justified in saying disrespectful things to members of the military

I am sad for anyone who feels justified in being disrespectful to a veteran

I am sad for the people who think Memorial Day is a party

I am sad because the sacrifices made by our veterans have kept this country free and allow fools to be disrespectful with little fear of imprisonment. Yet the people exercising their rights the most, appreciate the cost for those rights the least.
