West Des Moines, IA doing some great community police work.

Facebook user Mario Sciorrotta uploaded this great video. According to his post he took his kids for a walk when WDMPD stopped to talk to the kids.

The officer happen to have a K9 unit and let the kids spend some time petting the puppy.

Listen to the joy and laughter from the kids. This simple two minutes of time for this officer will make a lasting impression on these kids. We all know this is the kind of work that police do everyday but rarely gets in the news or made viral online.
